How HAIJIE filter elements are applied in hydraulics, steel, mining, wind power, air compression, water treatment, pools, power generation and process industries.

Filtration specifications only make sense inside an application. The notes below describe how our element families are normally applied, and which parameters matter most in each case.

Hydraulic power units and machine tools

Suction strainers protect the pump inlet; return-line elements clean the oil on its way back to the tank. On machine tools and injection moulding machines the usual selection is a 10 µm return element with a β-ratio of 100 or better, combined with an 80–180 µm suction strainer. Both must be changed on the differential-pressure signal rather than on a calendar, otherwise the β-rating of the circuit is lost.

Steel mills and metallurgy

Rolling mills, continuous casters and lubrication circuits run continuous duty with water ingress and high dirt loads. Return-line filters with water-separating capability and duplex filters for non-stop maintenance are the usual configuration; our duplex range covers 0.5–150 µm with 20″, 40″ and 60″ element lengths.

Coal mining and hydraulic supports

Emulsion pump stations and hydraulic supports work at design pressures up to 31.5 MPa with flows of 400–1000 L/min. Elements are supplied for pilot, inlet, water-spray and back-flush positions, with 20–80 µm ratings, and for high-pressure inlet/return filter stations up to 3000 L/min in parallel arrangement.

Wind power

Gearbox filtration is a closed, long-interval duty: 1300–2600 L/min, 15–16 bar, 3–50 µm, with breathers that block moisture and particle ingress. We supply interchangeable elements for HYDAC/Rexroth, Pall, Eaton, Mahle and Dongfang turbine gearbox platforms, plus DC-2/3/4 and SGB breather assemblies.

Air compressors

The classic “three filters” — air intake, oil and air-oil separation — plus precision coalescing elements downstream of the cooler. Intake and oil elements run from 0.1 to 100 µm; precision elements go from 25 µm down to 0.01 µm for instrument, pharmaceutical and food-grade air.

Water treatment and reverse osmosis

Melt-blown and pleated cartridges handle RO pre-treatment, condensate polishing and process water. A single HJSL cartridge is rated 70–100 m³/h with 0.35–150 µm ratings and a maximum differential pressure of 3.5 bar at 20 °C. High-flow cartridges are used where the cartridge count has to come down.

Swimming pools, SPA and aquaculture

Pleated polyester cartridges with moulded end caps, OD 65–114 mm, lengths 5″–40″, 1–50 µm at up to 4.0 bar and 80 °C. The pleated construction gives a larger surface area than a spun cartridge, which lowers pressure drop and lengthens the cleaning interval.

Power generation

Condensate, turbine lube oil and control-fluid circuits. Elements are specified by β-ratio and dirt-holding capacity rather than nominal micron rating, because the consequence of bypass is a turbine bearing, not a filter.

Pharmaceutical, food and electronics

Precision air and water filtration where the specification is driven by a validated cleanliness class: coalescing elements from 25 µm to 0.01 µm, and pleated cartridges with no fibre release. Materials and documentation are agreed per project.

Dust collection

Polyester spun-bond and PTFE-coated cartridges and bags for shot-blasting, cement, steel and powder-coating extraction, with optional flame-retardant and anti-static media.

If your application is not listed, send the operating conditions — medium, flow, pressure, temperature, target cleanliness — and we will propose a configuration.

We map the application to the right media, β-rating and end-cap design — and quote a like-for-like replacement.
