An interchange quotation is a dimensional and material comparison, and it is only as good as the information supplied. The requests that come back with a firm answer within a day all contain the same elements.
1. The complete part number, including the code suffix
Hydraulic filter references usually encode three things: nominal flow, micron rating and seal or design variant. “1300R005BN4HC” is not the same product as “1300R010BN4HC” — the 005 and 010 are the filtration ratings. If you only have the first block, send a photo of the label; the full string is usually printed on it.
2. The element, the housing, or both
Tell us whether you need the replacement element for an existing housing or a complete filter. For an element we need the envelope to match: outer diameter, inner diameter, overall length, end-cap profile and where the seal sits. A photo of the old element next to a ruler answers most of that in one image.
3. Medium and temperature
Mineral oil, phosphate ester, emulsion, water-glycol, water or air — the medium decides the seal compound, the centre tube and sometimes the media itself. Temperature does the same: our standard range is −30 °C to +110 °C, and a phosphate-ester circuit at the top of that range needs different seals than a mineral-oil circuit at 40 °C.
4. Working pressure and flow
Give the rated flow through the filter in L/min and the working pressure in bar or MPa, including peak pressure if the circuit spikes. Collapse strength on our return-line elements ranges from 1.0 to 21.0 MPa depending on construction, and it must exceed the differential pressure the element will see when it is loaded.
5. Quantity and destination
Two elements for a fit test and two hundred for a season are different quotations. Add the destination port and the Incoterm you prefer, and the reply includes the delivered cost rather than just the ex-works price.
What happens next
We confirm the four comparison points in writing — geometry, filtration performance, materials and collapse strength — and quote. If the geometry cannot be matched exactly, we say so before you order.
